Position Description

Electrician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrician with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in commercial and/or industrial electrical work. The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced blueprint reading skills, comprehensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), and proficiency in layout and installation of electrical systems across various phases of construction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and apply advanced electrical blueprints, drawings, and schematics
• Perform trenching and conduit installations for underground electrical systems
• Independently lay out and rough-in electrical infrastructure including:
• Underground systems
• Wall rough-ins
• Ceiling rough-ins
• Feeder installations
• Electrical rooms
• Install, configure, and program lighting control systems
• Calculate wire sizes, conduit fill, and box fill per NEC requirements
• Identify and implement alternate materials and methods where applicable
• Ensure all installations comply with NEC and local code standards
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and ensure proper function and safety
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environments
• Collaborate effectively with team members, foremen, and other trades on-site

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of verifiable electrician experience in the field
• Strong understanding and application of the NEC and local codes
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience in lighting control systems installation and programming (e.g., Lutron, Crestron, etc. is a plus)
• Proficient with hand and power tools, testing equipment, and construction methods
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• OSHA 10/30 certification preferred but not required
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret complex electrical drawings and documents
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working in varying conditions, including confined spaces and outdoors
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work at heights for extended periods
